Ian Bel

IAN Bel - the man behind the YouTube video, Slave, has had more than 95,000 plays.

The Norwegian musician, who grew up on a tiny farm near Oslo, will be performing tracks from his new rock/indie album, Fake Factory. The concept album is based on a self-penned book about the media industry.

Ian was heavily influenced by a classical pianist mother and folk musician father and by the sounds of the Norwegian violinist and composer Ole Bull, a distant relative.

He recorded his first independent album, Mr Government, in 1997 and founded a small indie label, UNO Record Company, six years later. Ian has also composed theme music for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation and written a children's book. His many live performances include a 2008 charity concert for Africa inspired by the UN Millennium Development goals.
